"Bringing Parents and Schools Together"
(Parent Involvement/Education Program)



Program Description:

An interactive educational workshop for parents that focuses on increasing parental involvement in school, better understanding of school policies and procedures, parent-school expectations, increasing parent-teacher communication, and parenting skills. A Parent Needs Assessment is conducted.


Participants Will Increase:

  • Increase parent-school communication

  • Learn to remove barriers between parents and schools

  • Learn school policies, procedures, and school/parents expectations

  • Learn to use best practices to increase parental involvement and parent leadership

  • Increase learning at home with educational family activities

  • Increase parenting skills and cultural values


Program Details:

Dates: September 1 - December 15 and January 15 - May 31

Times: 8 am - 7 pm - Before School and After School

Duration: 4.0 hours (workshop is presented in 2 sessions)

School Fee: $995

Attendance Minimum: 10

Attendance Maximum: 30

Bilingual Presentation: Yes

Technical Needs: TV/DVD, overhead projector, markers, flip chart
